Stage Details
Race HQ will be Cardington Village Hall, near Bedford.
Stage 1 - Saturday 24th - 11:00am rollout - road stage
Race
is neutralised through narrow “s” bends and over bridge race (M) both ends
of bridge with whistles to warn riders of oncoming traffic race then
deneutralised 100m past exit of bends.
Continue
up the hill to TURN (2 M) RIGHT onto Bedford Road at 1 mile TURN (M) left just
after railway bridge towards Ireland continue to TURN (M) left to Southill,
continue to junction TURN (M) left over narrow bridge (M) direction Stanford at
first left TURN (M) direction Southill /Old Warden (Scenic Route) into Southill
past Whitehorse Pub
(M) through village along High St, at junction with B658 TURN (M) left
direction Sandy, continue to roundabout TURN (2M) left direction Old Warden into
Hill Lane. Continue along this road bearing left at junction with Warden Road up
hill into Old Warden. At bends and entrance to Shuttleworth College (M) continue
into village to complete one lap. On last lap exit Old Warden Village at left
bend TURN (M) RIGHT towards Warden Street and Cardington, for approximately 3
miles to FINISH – 400m before railway bridge. (Finish area (M) to warn riders
of oncoming traffic and to ensure that they continue back to Cardington Village
(HQ) without disrupting traffic flow.
