Wendy's Classic Day 4 - Final

Ohio USA

From - Jon Miles

It was a Canadian victory on the final stage of the Wendy's International as Amy Jarvis - Rona, took the last stage, a 55 km criterium. Jarvis outsprinted her breakaway companion Cathy Marsal.

32 laps of a 1.7 km circuit faced the riders with Freedman just 5 points behind race leader Mayola-Pic; team tactics for Rona was to keep Freedman close to the front, not perhaps to gain more points but for the stage win.

However when a break went midway through, Jarvis went along to see how things would work out; Marsal attacked hard and only Jarvis was able to go with her and the race winning move had began. Working well the two soon had a good gap and with just under 200 metres to go Jarvis went on the outside and got the verdict. Tina Mayola-Pic - Diet Rite, ended the day as overall winner.
