Race HQs -
There
will be plenty of car parking in the HQ grounds on both days - please do not
park on the road outside, please follow the directions given by the car park
marshal on Sunday. Competitors, please do not park in the spaces allocated for
race officials – this area is reserved to allow the formation of the Race
Convoy and to provide a safe start for all.
On
Saturday, there will be shower and changing areas available. Unfortunately, on
Sunday, there are no showers – we apologise for this and realise that some
competitors will be travelling a long way after the race. Signing on each
day will be in the entrance foyer. Snacks and light refreshments will be
available on both days. Riders, helpers, sponsors, officials and spectators may
all use this facility. A (free) meal for riders will be available between stages
1 & 2 at Cranfield University Students Union. The meal will be served from
12:45hrs onwards. Lunch will also be provided on Sunday, from 13:30hrs (tickets
provided for both when signing on for Saturday's stage), prior to the prize
presentation.
Saturday
25th, Cranfield University Sports Hall :
From
Bedford or from M1 J13, follow the A421 to the Marston
Moretain (Little Chef)
roundabout, where turn North towards Cranfield. Proceed to ”T”
junction, where turn left and up hill. Once in Cranfield, take first (fork)
right, following signs to University (& Airport). At next “T” junction,
turn right again and leave Cranfield village, passing football club. Turn next
left and follow road into Cranfield University’s “College Road”, see
below. Proceed to main Reception, where turn left into main campus and follow
signs to Sports Hall.
Sunday
26tth, Kimbolton Village Hall :
From Bedford, follow B660, Kimbolton Road to Kimbolton, follow road through village. The village hall is opposite the petrol station. Kimbolton is within easy access of the A14 for those travelling home via theM1 North or A1 North or South
